This call reminds me of Christmases growing up when we’d call the grandparents and each of the kids would do the obligatory 30-second conversation.

Just to clarify, is this inside information, or had Cottrell gone public with this decision?
Oregonian said on Saturday that Cottrell was sticking with Oregon.
I trust BC; just trying to figure out where the info is coming from.

One of the strangest things about this whole BCS process is how flippant and unprofessional the whole thing is, especially given the amount of money involved. For starters, somebody needs to take an Ethics 101 class and learn what “conflict of interest” is. A nice follow-up would be for the media to embarrass certain coaches [...]

Positives: (a) Case, welcome to reality. He has been given what he was pouting for – his chance – and hopefully now he has a better understanding of what he really brings to the program. Perhaps he won’t transfer and will be content to play backup at a great program, go to some bowl games, [...]

Sometimes I wonder what exactly people expect from Case. (Or Ash for that matter), and what those expectations are based on. Do you have some film of him from high school that I haven’t seen? Or perhaps inside knowledge of his true origins from the Planet Krypton? He’s a C+ quarterback, that can occasionally play [...]

Just finished watching the game (my wife and I were with friends for dinner). Words can’t describe how exited I am for the win. That having been said, a few thoughts. (a) It’s pretty ridiculous to look over this thread and see Manny Diaz go from being the lord of heaven himself to the most [...]

Did you really just cite Vince Young’s career to defend David Ash and Case McCoy?
Really?

It’s not the coaching that is schizophrenic, it’s the execution of the plays that are called. O-line had some great blocking, and also some bad blocking. Receivers couldn’t make plays to help the QBs. QBs couldn’t make throws. I hope somebody gets suspended for that bullcrap kick-catch interference call. I understand that, given the complex [...]

Seriously, Sasha? Quit using straw man tactics. No one is saying that it isn’t difficult to run an offense with key injuries like we had today. What people *are* saying (myself included) is that it appears that our coaching staff knew, going into the game, that our Plan A was gone (Brown and Bergeron) and [...]

We came into this game screwed. We knew B&B were out. We knew that our QBs aren’t competent (see Asset’s report from this week). We hoped that Fozzy could hold out a whole game (he couldn’t). After Foz got hurt, we literally had nothing. I’d love to hear Harsin’s true feelings about coming to Texas [...]

Mack is going probably to rest B&B for the rest of the season so they’ll be good to go for the PapaJohns.com bowl. Gotta make sure we don’t get embarrassed against Middle Tennessee State.

I can’t help but think preparation failed this week. HarsinWhite knew that B&B wouldn’t play (the “game time decision” bit was obviously for Mizzou’s benefit). I know that losing Foz is a big deal, but if our game plan this week was “hand it to Whittaker,” then I think we’re overpaying our coordinators. Either that, [...]

If the solution to our QB problems is reps, then we’re going to need a few years for them to get up to speed. Some of those throws were ridiculous.

These announcers are ridiculous.
“I don’t know if a healthy Malcolm Brown and Joe Bergeron would make any difference.”
Mizzou isn’t awesome. Our offense just can’t put anything together.
